HALLMARKING
All of my work is made from Sterling Silver [925] sourced from Cooksongold, London. Cooksons is a subsidiary of the Heimerle + Meule Group which is one of Europe's largest refiners and processors of precious metals
I do not Hallmark small jewellery pieces as this is cost prohibitive. Silver items under 7.78g in weight are not legally required to be Hallmarked. I do however engrave a 925 mark and my makers mark on many of my pieces where possible.
However, if you would like a guarantee of the Silver used, or to add provenance to your piece, please ask and I will happily Hallmark your purchase. This will take 2-3 weeks and may incur an additional cost. It goes without saying that if you are commissioning a bespoke piece this is something we will discuss, and the lead-time and costs will be included in your commission.
I am registered with Goldsmiths’ Company Assay Office London, and have my own ESD sponsors mark (makers mark).
The Full traditional Hallmark comprises of five marks:
-
Sponsor's mark
-
Traditional fineness mark
-
Millesimal fineness mark
-
Assay Office mark
-
Date letter mark
