Here are some insights into the work I do. The idea behind these videos is to provide you with insights into how I make my jewellery, from soldering to planishing, stone setting to polishing. There's a lot more to it than you might think, and these videos only show part of any process.

Many of the skills shown can be learnt in my jewellery workshops, and I hope they may provide a visual aid to what you might achieve. Please excuse the mess! If you would like to see more content get in touch (I really do need to film and upload more content!) x

Here I am on cold, damp November morning demonstrating planishing rings and taking them up two sizes. This is something I teach in my Stacking Rings course, and you can also buy the rings ready made here.

Here's a little hyperlapse video of me soldering a bezel cup onto a ring.

Here I'm soldering a bezel cup onto a ring in real-time. As you can see it moved as the solder flowed and took a little more heat than I wanted to set it properly. It turned out great in the end. The finished ring sits on my finger, but you an buy yours here, or learn to make one here.

Here I'm soldering pins onto the backs of etched earrings. As you can see it's not always as easy as it looks!

Watch me solder rings - it's mesmerising!
